***Atlanta, Raleigh and recording!!!***

Hey everyone,

hope you're all having a lovely weekend. We've just arrived back in NYC for a couple of days to put some finishing touches to a new track we've been working .. Jon's last blog on Friday, we played a show at Vinyl in Atlanta with our friends Luna Halo and a great band called Run Run Run. As Jon mentioned, we didn't have much sleep after playing The Nick and waking up at the crack of dawn for a TV performance. We had a great night though, and some of us still found the energy to hit the town after the show. I joined Luna Halo on stage briefly to sing a few lines of their cover of Take On Me by Aha. Move over Morton Harket, Mat Steel is here!!!
Yesterday, we drove from Atlanta to Raleigh, North Carolina to play an outdoor mini-festival. The good folks at 99.9 The Fan had set up a stage in the street outside The Lincoln Theatre and six bands played throughout the day. Everclear were the headliners and we took the slot before them.
We arrived just as a really cool Reggae band called Soja were taking to the stage so we watched them in the blistering heat, it was a nice summer-party kind of vibe.
Then we jumped on and played for an hour, that dreaded humidity made sure we were all drenched by the second song but it was great fun playing out there in the street!
As always, it was great to meet all of you who came to take pictures after the show. Thanks to all who came down and stuck it out in the heat!! And apologies to those in the front row who got splattered with Vegas sweat!!
After the show, we drove through the night back to NYC and started recording as soon as we arrived. And that's what we're doing right now, I've just finished my guitars and Coyle is about to start recording his lovely voice.

As mentioned in the previous blog, we've hit the number 20 spot on the Sirius radio chart. So thanks to all of you who requested and keep going to get us further up that chart!!

Greetings Earthling darlings.

I'm writing to you from my hotel room in Atlanta. We have to leave for soundcheck in a little while but first I'm gonna tell you about the last two days of our lives.

After partying late into the NYC night on Wednesday at an NYC fashion week event, we set off for Alabama in the early hours of Thursday morning.

When we arrived at our hotel in Birmingham there was just enough time for us to take a quick power nap, brush our teeth and take a shower before heading to our favorite little dive bar in the south, The Nick.

On arrival we were confused to see the loading-in door had been boarded up. What the hell? We walked in through the main door and the barmaid told us that about two weeks ago a drunken fool had crashed through the wall taking the loading-in door with him. So kids, here's the moral: don't drink and drive.

The show was a lot of fun, as they always are at The Nick, and we'd like to thank everyone who came down. You were awesome as always.

After the show we stayed for a few drinks and hung out with the party people before heading back to our hotel around three. We had to be up in three hours to perform live on Good Morning Alabama.

We got up, grabbed coffees and headed for Fox studios. We performed live at around 8:45am on the rooftop and there was a sweet view of Birmingham in the background.

After the performance we went back to our hotel for a couple of hours and we all tried to grab a little more sleep and a shower, with the exception of Mat who chose to hit the gym. Recharged and refreshed we headed for Atlanta, which is where I am right now.

Time to soundcheck...

We're pleased to inform you that our song "Your Vegas" will feature on the MTV show The Hills tomorrow night (Sunday).

The show airs at 7:30pm right before the MTV awards show.

Hey everyone!

We're in New York still at the moment, recording new songs and rehearsing for our forthcoming tour dates. We're gonna do a Kyte vid soon so you can take a peek and what we're up to.

Some very cool Your Vegas news just in... MTV programme The Hills will be using our song 'Your Vegas' in the episode on Monday 8th Sept. The show is on MTV at 10pm so make sure you tune in.
